I love the country.
I would like to live in a tree house because it is in the sky. We would have to climb down a ladder when we have to go somewhere or if we build a house. I would like to decorate the tree house and I would paint it red, white and blue. It would be really fun to run around in a creek and skip rocks. I would love to go somewhere and pick beries. I would make a berry pie for my family. And, it would be really fun o go anyplace and pick flowers.
I do not like spiders because one time when I was going to a Halloween Party, there was group of spiders and they webbed my hands together. I washed my hands and the webs still did not come off. So my mom had to take them off with rubber gloves and then my mom and I left. I would have a long ride on a bus every day. And, in spring there will be mud every day. Yuck!
But, I would still want to live in the country, even if it was hard.

There’s no place I’d rather live than in the country.
In the country, instead of smelling car exhaust, I smell fresh mint leaves like the smell of peppermint tea. On a hot summer evening in the country, you can lie under an oak tree and chew the fresh minty taste of yellow birch sticks.
Sometimes, I think it would be hard living in the country because I would have to get up early to get to school on time.
But I would never choose to live in the city.

Cities are wonderful.
Well, let’s begin with urban pros. I would live in an urban place. I like to visit museums. I like to eat at restaurants. Libraries are awesome because you can get books.
It is noisy from all the people talking and talking and beeps from machines at the circulation desk in the library. Traffic can be backed up too.
But I would still choose to live in the city.

I like the Lyna Rink because I like watching the Cornell Big Red Men’s Hockey. It sounds like everybody screaming. I eat buttery popcorn. If I eat too much it tastes sour or bitter. When a cornell team bodycheaks at the boards, sometimes our food fell down to the floor.

I like to go to Cayuga Lake because my dad’s boat goes in the lake. I get to shift the sails. I get to sail the boat. I feel like a pirate when I am on the boat. My brother was scared because he did not like it. He likes to play on land.

I like to go to the Sciencenter because it can teach me a little about Science. I like the part when the ball goes up because the air is holding the ball up. It is cool to me. It looks like the ball is floating itself. I usually get something small in the gift shop.

I like to go to Pizza Hut because Papa Jon’s has waaaaaaaaaay to much grease. Grease is bad for your intestines. Back to what I was talking about, oh! Pizza Hut has grease on their pizza, but less grease. That is why I like Pizza Hut.

I love Sapsucker Woods! It has a path too, that leads to a place that you look at birds through a telescope. There’s a lot of computers that only think of birds. I hope that you will like your visit too.

I’ve always loved the country in spring, summer, fall and winter. I’ve always wanted to live in the country.
I’ve always loved the stream in spring. The fish jumping and swirling and dancing in the nice spring air like a waterfall. I’ve always loved animals like the deer, chasing each other and kicking like some graceful newborn lion cubs. There are not many people in the country. It’s so peaceful; it makes me feel so happy like newborn puppies.
But I wish I could have a friend over for once. It is so lonely. There are no arcades so it’s kind of boring. You have to drive all the way to school.
But there’s no place like home in the country.

There’s no place like the country.
When I look outside of my window, I see the deer munching on leaves like beaver munching on hard wood while I munch on a bagel. In the afternoon, I take a walk in the woods and I see the streams. I take my socks off. I take off my shoes and dip my feet in the water. It feels like a calming violin playing the sweetest sound. At night, I hear a lot of animals like an owl singing a peaceful song and a bear walking in the dark woods and a lot of other animals.
Some days, I would rather live in the city because I have to drive to school and it takes so, so, so long. When I want company, I look in the phone book. I dial their number and ask for a play date. It takes an hour to get there.
But I would rather live in the country.

The country is a happy place with animals for company.
Whenever I go for a walk, the air is filled with the sweet sound of a bird’s song like a whistle calling me. No one would find a rare animal in an urban area. But if you took a walk in a rural area, you could see one! You can dip your hands in a stream. Sometimes it’s very cold! You can pick berries of every kind. Some are sour. Some are sweet.
Sometimes forest fires appear because of people, like angry flames towering above the forest. Another bad thing is that no stores are there and they are pretty useful. It’s sad that you have to live far away from friends.
But I would love to live in the country.

I love the country.
When I go outside, the birds sing like the air, flying near our house. They are green like the trees. The roses are red like the air.
But I can’t walk to the stores. It is too far. When it rains, brown mud ruins my shoes. The weeds at my house are green as peas, and the spiders! I hate spider webs!
In the city they have bug spray.
But I never want to move to the city!

The rural area is the place for me.
I would love sitting in the forest waiting to find something to hunt with my Dad. I just love to taste that grilled big deer meat. It is like heaven! I would love seeing how the deer bones are put together. I love big yards in the country. It is so fun to jump around in the big yard.
I would hate living far away from family. Most of my family lives in a city. I also would hate living far away from friends. It would make me so sad. I would like to walk to a restaurant, but I can’t if I live in the country.
But there is no place like the country.

There’s no place like the country.
You can fish in ponds with the sound of the falls dancing with your ears. You can swim through the water wet to your toes. You can ride fast as time and it feels like flying. You can ride like magic. It feels great. You can go to camp and play with your friends for hours.
There is too much seaweed in the ponds. You have to drive to stores. You cannot walk. You have to drive to meet with friends.
The country is the best place to live.

I will never trade my country home for the city.
When I wake up, I can hear the birds chirping like a bunch of people whistling. I can smell the clean air on the porch. I can just walk a little to get to berries. Tasting blueberries is better than going to the dentist with blueberry-tasting gloves.
I love going to Wegman’s but I have to drive. I do not like riding a school bus, but I have to. I do not like to play by myself. If I lived in the city, I could have more play dates.
But I love my home in the country.

I wish I lived in the country.
I love seeing the deer every morning when I wake up and look out the window. I like the fresh air because it reminds me of spring in the morning. Every morning I like hearing the quiet when I open the door. In the summer, I like to pick berries that are juicy like watermelons.
I wish I could ride the school bus because if I could ride the school bus, I would have a fun time going to school. I wish I could have a bus to ride because it would not waste gas. I wish people wouldn’t run over animals because then we would have more animals.
I would really want to live in the country.

The country is the place for me.
When I go outside I smell the maple leaves. I watch my dog run. When my dog runs, her ears are blowing back. I pick berries in the field and give some to my dog. Looking for raspberries is like finding rubies in the bushes.
If I lived in the country area, I would live far from friends. I have to take a bus to work and use lots of gas. I will be alone and sad sometimes.
But I love my home in the country.

I live in a city.
I like the city because it has lots of movie theaters and toy stores. I like the sound of people laughing. It sounds like the water in a waterfall.
I don’t like smelly cars in the city and the traffic. It’s hard to find parking and it’s dangerous for pets. My friend Jax had a cat, but it got ran over by a car.
But, I’d never choose to live in the country.

The good thing about living in an urban area is that you can walk to restaurants. You can walk to museums too. You can find more toy stores and you can walk to them and you don’t have to drive. If you live in a city, you can walk to work. And, you can walk your kid or kids to school.
In urban areas there’s a lot of noise. It’s hard to sleep sometimes and you have to yell over the noise. In the city there’s no wild animals like deer and snakes, raccoons, skunks, and porcupines. In the city there’s lots of traffic. It’s hard to find parking spots. Sometimes there are traffic jams that are very long. It’s sometimes hard to live in a city. Trust me, because I’ve been in a city.
But I like living in a city so I can walk to restaurants.

I like the city so much.
Cities have a lot of crowds. It’s fun to see people I know. I love toys. I love toys in Toys R Us. I only play Game boy Advance SP, so video game stores like Toys R Us are the place for me. I like really tall buildings. I love going to festivals and events and I really like underground places so I like subways.
There are some disgusting things about the city like gun under tables and lougies or spit on the ground. But the city is AWESOME!
I still love the city.

There is no place like home in the country.
Some days I wake up bright and early and I hear hooves that are deer hooves stomping around in my yard. I can walk to a farm and I can get fresh picked fruit and vegetables. I can see a stream in my backyard. It is beautiful. I can walk to it and put my feet in it.
I have to drive one hour to the city to go to the stores. You can only ride the bus when you are fourteen. That is a bummer because I have to drive one hour to school. Some families live close and they just have to drive a few minutes. Some live far. They have to drive two hours. And, if I lived in the city I would live near family.
But, in the city it would be hard to find a house I liked a lot.

I would love to live in an urban area.
I can walk to restaurants when it’s lunchtime. When I walk to restaurants I can talk with my friends. I can hear the cars going by. Sometimes people say hello to each other. When I need more supplies, I can walk to stores. I can walk to pet shops.
In urban areas there’s not very much shade. There are no creeks to go fishing in. And, in the city there’s a lot of noise.
But, I think I would rather live in the city than the country.

I live on the edge of a city.
Looking out my bedroom window I see deer eating leaves. Every night I hear an owl going Hoo Hoo. I like to ride my bike on roads that aren’t as busy as city streets.
But, I have to drive to get to stores. Every day I would take a bus to school and back home. I wish that I could walk to stores. If I could, I would buy chocolate every day.
I’d like to live far out in the country where we could dig a pond.

I love my home in the city.
I enjoy living near friends. I like walking to restaurants. I can walk to school instead of taking my mom or dad’s car. The sound of the cars swishing by reminds me of the sound of the sea. I like it. I can see the lake from my window.
But I wish I could smell the crisp air in the forest. There is too much traffic. There is not a lot of land so I can fly my kite. The snow turns into slush and it is muddy in summer.
But I like my urban home more.

Where would I live? I’d live in the city.
I love the subway up at the mall. Their meatball subs are good. I like crowds because I like people. I feel like I’m at a party when I am walking in a crowd of people. There are movie theaters close to the city.
I hate when I step in a louger. I feel like I’m in a lake of yucky stuff. There are no parking spaces! I really miss having a big yard.
But, the city is the place for me.

Right now, I feel that if I had a choice, I would live in a rural community.
I have a big yard in the country to play in. I can see deer in the morning and late afternoon. In the city, I would see cars. There is wonderful crisp and fresh air. There is lots of nature to explore and discover. Birds chirp all day long, which is rather calming. You can see lots of wild animals, such as deer. There many trees and plants. They are so green and rich, like the sea. Some flowers have bright buds. You can have big animals like horses, sheep and cows!
Rural does have some cons. I really wish I could meet more friends here. It takes very long to drive anywhere! When I want to go to a store, it takes a long time.
But I like rural best.
